Single vineyards Bihl, Steinstück, Bergweingarten, Strangenberg
Grand Cru Steinert

A certain maturity and a discerning palate are required for the appreciation of more complex, rare and sophisticated wines. Tasting an extraordinary wine is in itself an occasion to remember.

Wines of this calibre and intensity are produced in single vineyards Bihl, Steinstück, Bergweingarten, Strangenberg, or in the Grand Cru Steinert appellation which dates back to the year 1000. The wines produced in these great terroirs relay their 1000 years of history and the memory of the stones. They are destined for gastronomy and bottle ageing.

Some wines may qualify as Vendanges Tardives (Late Harvest) or Sélection de Grains Nobles (noble rot). They are produced from grapes harvested much later in the season, long after the leaves have fallen, and sometimes even after the first frosts. They are the pinnacle of the Exceptional Pleasure to be derived from Domaine RIEFLÉ's Alsace wines.

ALSACE LIEU-DIT STEINSTÜCK (Riesling) 2020
The Steinstück toponym (traduction "quarry") is evident when the soil covered with limestone slabs is observed. It produces consistent wines that will seduce you with their tense acidity, leading to a long saline finish.
ALSACE LIEU-DIT BERGWEINGARTEN (Gewurztraminer) 2021
Vintage upon vintage, wines from Bergweingarten are characterised by their silky texture, smooth balance and Oriental aromas such as spice, incense, honey and exotic fruits.
ALSACE LIEU-DIT STRANGENBERG Rouge 2020
Supple red wine, offering a lot of volume in the mouth. The tannins are delicately coated and the wine finishes on a nice freshness making the whole very greedy.
ALSACE GRAND CRU STEINERT Riesling 2018
This wine is ideal for dishes that require a dry yet powerful wine. Try with sole, seabass or John Dory, in lemon or beurre blanc sauce, or lobster.
